Knock Knock...Who's There?? - Wood Knock Reply Captured On Audio
Wood Knocking - Thought to be a method of communication used by Sasquatch/Bigfoot to locate or warn each other across a given distance using a sound that resembles a wood upon wood knocking sound therefor the given name "Wood Knocking"
So it seems the strange events continue around our home near the Smoky Mountain National Park...
As I have noted in previous blog post, we live in a very rural and secluded area right at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Over the past month or two we have been having quite a few strange happenings around our home. Twice lately we have had loud banging on the side of our home around 1 in the morning. Last week close to midnight while watching TV we heard three VERY loud wood knocks in the woods just down the hill in front of the house. Several instances of eye-glow, heavy footsteps walking just inside the treeline by our home and a constant feeling of being watched.
On November 11th, 2013 I was out on my front porch late in the evening and was attempting to stir up some action and gain a response to wood knocking. Although it has taken several missed opportunities and lessons un-learned, I have finally trained myself to always take the digital recorder with me when outside our home at night... this time it payed off.
On this particular night I made three very loud knocks with two small pieces of 2x4 lumber and just waited. About 25 seconds later a response of three knocks almost identical to mine was heard (and recorded) from the woods across the valley from my home.
A similar thing had happened a few nights earlier only much closer and I didn't have the recorder going (one of those lessons un-learned). I had done the same "three knock" pattern and about 20 seconds later a very fast and loud "two knock" pattern answered back from the woods across my driveway.

Loss Of Innocence - Repost By Scott Carpenter
A good friend and fellow researcher Scott Carpenter reposted a write-up he did a while back which in my opinion is excellent advice for anyone interested in the study of Bigfoot. I can't even begin to describe how accurate he is in this article...

Smoky Mountain Research Update
The rock arrangement had definitely been tampered with. Every single one of the rocks has been moved in some way or another. There seems to be a pattern forming related to "threes". Several times I've found my arrangements "redone" where only three items are left or grouped together. Even at my home I've had this happen with the rocks I leave out close to my back door.
This is how I found the rocks this week. Notice the "three" pattern on the boulder and the other two rocks laying on the ground at the top of the picture...
Earlier this summer I found my seashell arrangement where one of the shells was knocked off the large rock and three left on top.
Are the Bigfoot telling me there are three of them visiting the gifting area or something else?
This trip... Notice the shell furthest to the right.
The white gift basket I had hung from a limb was completely gone. I had left the basket with several items in it hanging from the limb by a rope about 7 feet off the ground.
There was one wrapper from a honey bun and the glow bracelet laying directly underneath where the basket had been, but no basket...anywhere. The wrapper didn't appear torn, but looked opened like a normal person had opened it by pulling it apart. Something with hands would have had to do this. How would an animal get the basket down that was tightly fastened to the rope? And if by chance somehow they were able to get it down, why would any animal take the basket with them? Doesn't it seem logical that once the basket was somehow brought to the ground the items would spill out? Wouldn't the animals just eat or take the spilt items and pay no attention to a white metal wire basket? Quite a few coincidences I'd say.
Two weeks ago...
This week...
Strange things are happening in this location and it seems there is some type of communication going on here. I'll keep you posted...

More Possible Activity At Home...
Last night I tried another experiment. Before it got dark yesterday evening I borrowed the advice from a fellow researcher and made a "box" out of large river stones that I had laying around the house and left an unopened package of pop tarts inside. My goal was to make a "critter proof" enclosure to keep small animals such as raccoons and possums out.
I placed an "X" beside it to mark it as a gift. The fellow researcher suggested doing so due to reading that an X is a Native American symbol for "gift". He also said he has had good results in his area by using the X symbol. It is very interesting that two days in a row I have used the X symbol and have had results both days including finding a fresh footprint yesterday. I'm also not saying we don't have raccoons that can move 20lb rocks, but I had some interesting findings this morning....

Smoky Mountain Research Update…
This past weekend (7/28/13) I made a trip to my research area in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It had been 6 days since my last visit and I found some things that are starting to become regular occurrences. Food gifts are always taken. Whether it is an animal taking the food or Bigfoot is technically up for debate, although I believe the latter is the guilty party! But, when non-food gifts are rearranged, moved or completely missing, that’s when it becomes serious to me. When a ball that is wedged under heavy limbs is moved to a completely different part of the research area once, that’s interesting. When it keeps happening, well…you get the picture...
On the ground in this picture you can see the ball as I found it...again. I always put the ball under the limbs you see crossing over the log in an "X" fashion.
How it looked a week ago...
I did find what I believe were a couple of “gifts” left for me. Right where I have been leaving items on the fallen tree was a small stick balanced perfectly over the trunk. And at the other end of the tree was a small mushroom that looked like it had been picked from the ground very recently and placed for me to find. The bottom of the mushroom still had topsoil attached to it and it was lying perfectly on its side just like someone had placed it there. I always take these “gifts” whether they leave them or not and I say “Thank you!” placing them in my backpack. I left in its place a small candy bar. I always try to consider that something so simple to us could have such great meaning to them. You just don’t ever know…
The mushroom as I found it...
I decided to try something different this week. Up until now I have been leaving the food gifts on a fallen tree or placing apples up in tree limbs nearby. They are always taken, but the question always lingers whether or not an animal took the food. Candy and snack wrappers are almost always left lying on the ground nearby.
I thought I’d try putting the food gifts in a small basket, hang the basket from a rope that I threw over a tree limb and tied the other end to a nearby tree. The basket is hanging about 7 feet off the ground and about 3 feet down from the limb. I even put a little thought into what color the basket should be. The store had several colors available, but after researching I found the color “white” means peace to most Native American tribes.
I put a couple apples, a peach, a honey bun and a couple candy bars in the basket. I also put in a small green glow-stick bracelet I picked up at the dollar store. They glow for several days and it will be interesting to see if they take it.
Maybe this will help more solidly determine what is getting the items. If I can try to rule out small animals I want to do so.
Next, I went up the hill about 20 yards and built a small tee-pee structure with surrounding fallen limbs. Not sure what kind of response I’ll get from the structure, but so far they seem to be ok with me rebuilding the one I found nearby after it had fallen from a bad storm. I had been leaving food on it before then and still am now. The food is always gone when I return and usually not a single small limb will be out of place.
Structure I built...
I wanted to post a picture of a star structure I found. This is right beside the same creek my research area is on only about 50 yards upstream. It’s the first of its kind I have ever found. I don’t know why, but I always get a strange feeling when I’m around it. I always go out of my way to walk around and never mess with it. It’s almost like it has a sacred feeling to it. Either way, I avoid it out of respect.
Star structure I found...
The past few times I’ve been there I’ve played music for the big guys. I have a couple small battery powered laptop speakers I pack in with me and connect to my phone. I have a few downloaded Native American flute songs I like to play for them. I had a friend with me this trip and the whole time we were there it felt like we were being watched.
